Jenn’s mission is to assist your child in processing
and comprehending illness, trauma, and difficult
life changes. With evidence-based strategies,
she provides coping skills, therapeutic play, and
creative arts to reduce fear, distress, and anxiety
that often accompanies the difficult and unknown.
Jenn is a compassionate advocate
For Children and Teens (ages 4+) who are experiencing:
- New or existing diagnosis
- New or existing serious or chronic illness
- Parent with new or existing medical diagnosis
- Understanding Parent’s palliative care status
- Sibling with a new medical diagnosis or existing medical condition
- Returning to school after an illness, injury
- Returning to school after a sibling or Parent’s death
What does a session look like?
Example: Supporting a 5 year-old child whose father has
been newly diagnosed with cancer
Goal: Help 5 year-old to understand and cope with
father’s diagnosis and treatment
50-minute, uninterrupted child-directed play session:
- Building rapport and check-in
- Diagnosis teaching
- Expressive play
- Coping skills introduction
- Reflection and Wrap-up

individual needs of each child/teen.
